Provincial exams are this week! We've been spending some time in class reviewing, looking at questions and learning strategies for how to take an exam like the PATs. We want to try to minimize as much as anxiety as possible and believe that practice and bringing awareness to the exam will help.

2 digit by 2 digit multiplication games:
Long Division:
Speed drill Practice
Review and practice math fact fluency. Student's will be given weekly speed drill quizzes to improve accuracy and recall. Any extra practice that can be done at home is highly encouraged.
Use the menu on the left hand side of the website to choose the operation you would like to practice.
When creating your worksheet, choose values which will help the students practice up to a sum and difference of 18 (9+9 and 18-9 as the largest questions), vice versa for subtraction and up to 9x9 for multiplication and 81/9 for division. ** I choose the 3 minute option so that 60 questions are printed. This one sheet will be good for 2 mad minute drills but the student's get one minute to do as many of the first 30 questions as possible.

Speed drill Practice
Review and practice math fact fluency. Student's will be given weekly speed drill quizzes to improve accuracy and recall. Any extra practice that can be done at home is highly encouraged.
- Mad Minute Speed Drills (this is the link I use for the speed drills we do in class)
Use the menu on the left hand side of the website to choose the operation you would like to practice.
When creating your worksheet, choose values which will help the students practice up to a sum and difference of 18 (9+9 and 18-9 as the largest questions), vice versa for subtraction and up to 9x9 for multiplication and 81/9 for division. ** I choose the 3 minute option so that 60 questions are printed. This one sheet will be good for 2 mad minute drills but the student's get one minute to do as many of the first 30 questions as possible.
